Coach Rusin is entering his fifth season as the Head Football Coach and his 10th year coaching high school football. Coach Rusin lead the Cardinals to the MSHSL State Semifinals in his first season at the helm. Prior to coming to CRHS, he spent six seasons in the Blaine High School Football Program, coaching Running Backs and Wide Receivers.

Coach Rusin has also coached Track and Field for eight years, as well as coaching Basketball for four years. He obtained his teaching license in Social Studies at Hamline University, while also receiving a Bachelors Degree from Saint John's University. 

Coach Rusin will also be entering his second year teaching at Coon Rapids High School, teaching 12th grade Economics and 9th grade Civics. This comes after spending the last two years teaching at Blaine High School.

Coach Rusin is thankful and honored to be the Head Football Coach at Coon Rapids High School and is looking forward to a great season. Go Cardinals!
